(103 min) 1927 Hollywood. Monumental Pictures’ biggest stars, glamorous on-screen couple Lina Lamont and Don Lockwood, are also an off-screen couple if the trade papers and gossip columns are to be believed. One of the greatest and most successful musicals ever filmed, Singin’ in the Rain is filled with memorable songs and lavish dance routines that have wowed audiences over many decades. It tells of the struggles that silent film actors face during the “advent” of talkies: talentless starlets, Hollywood schemes, and love stories.

The Virginia Theatre houses one of the largest collections in the country of these unique glass slides, each set printed with the lyrics to a classic tune from days gone by. Warm up your pipes and bring the whole family!
