LeAnn Rimes was interviewed earlier this month (CBS Mornings, August 1) about her renewed focus on unity and healing and has stated that she hopes listeners to the new album will be inspired to “be more accepting and get to doing what we’re all put here to do, which is to create a more loving world for one another.” A prolific performer who first became an international star at the age of 13, Rimes has spoken about the challenges of growing up in the limelight, adding, “I needed to be at the place I am in my life now in order to release this record whole-heartedly. It’s so empowering that I am finally there.” For a recent interview with American Songwriter magazine about Rimes’ entertainment industry journey and also the new album, visit: https://americansongwriter.com/digital-cover-story-leann-rimes-is-ready-for-gods-work-on-14th-album/.
Rimes received a special honor this past spring when the acclaimed CMT Crossroads program devoted an entire episode to the singer, commemorating her 25th anniversary as a recording artist and recognizing the path she blazed forward for women in all genres. The sixty-minute program, CMT Crossroads: Leann Rimes & Friends, was initially broadcast April 15, 2022 (click this link to see a clip of Rimes performing with Carly Pearce and Ashley McBryde: https://leannrimes.com/videos/leann-rimes-carly-pearce-ashley-mcbryde-perform-one-way-ticket-cmt-crossroads/).
