The Champaign Park District is seeking motivated volunteers to assist in the daily operation of the Virginia Theatre box office, selling tickets (both in person and by phone), greeting and directing patrons to theatre services, processing accessibility requests, completing various administrative tasks, and providing exemplary customer service.
Hours are flexible, with 2-6 hour shifts available at various times each week. A single volunteer may assist in the Virginia box office for up to 10 hours weekly.
Qualifications include two or more years of customer service experience, demonstrated organizational skills, the ability to understand and work from written and verbal instructions, ability to balance cash transactions, ability to communicate effectively with the public, knowledge and use of computers, basic typing/keyboarding skills, and a positive “can do” team attitude.
Virginia Theatre box office volunteers will be trained and supervised by the Virginia Theatre box office manager.
