Champaign, IL – The Champaign Park District has announced that the hit international children’s show DINOSAUR WORLD LIVE—an interactive theatre experience that brings dinosaurs to life on stage—is coming to the Virginia Theatre, Champaign, on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at 6:00 P.M., with doors opening at 5:15 P.M.
Reserved seating tickets are $19.50 to $39.50 plus an additional per-ticket processing fee of $3.00 to $5.00 and go on sale Friday, October 27, 2023, at 10:00 A.M. at the Virginia Theatre box office, online at thevirginia.org, or charge by phone at 217-356-9063. Children under 2 do not require a ticket if they will be sitting on a parent or guardian’s lap throughout the performance. All other children, youth, and adult patrons must have a full-price ticket.
A special meet-and-greet after the show is included in the ticket price and offers patrons the chance to see the dinosaurs up close. Presented by the Champaign Park District.

Back by popular demand, DINOSAUR WORLD LIVE has returned for its second major North American tour of the United States and Canada. Now an international smash hit following five consecutive tours of the United Kingdom, a major tour of the US and Ireland, and forthcoming tours of China and Australia, DINOSAUR WORLD LIVE has delighted critics and audiences alike.
Using stunning puppetry to bring remarkably life-like dinosaurs to the stage, DINOSAUR WORLD LIVE presents a host of impressive pre-historic creatures including every child’s favorite flesh-eating giant, the Tyrannosaurus Rex, along with a Giraffatitan, Microraptor, Segnosaurus, and Triceratops.
The show introduces Miranda, daughter of palaeontologists, who grew up surrounded by dinosaurs on a far-away island off the coast of South America. She has brought her pre-historic pals to your local theatre and would love you to meet them. Warning: some of these dinosaurs aren’t as docile as they seem!
DINOSAUR WORLD LIVE delivers an entertaining, educational live show that promises to delight the whole family.
