Champaign, IL – The Champaign Park District has announced that vocal trio CHAPEL HART will perform at the historic Virginia Theatre in downtown Champaign on Thursday, February 9, 2023, at 8:00 P.M. Sisters Danica and Devynn Hart, along with cousin Trea Swindle, went from singing together as children in Mississippi’s Hart’s Chapel to form CHAPEL HART, a world-travelling vocal group whose colorful, contagious energy has flourished into a full live band experience that fills venues both at home and abroad.
In 2021, Chapel Hart was inducted into CMT’s “Next Women of Country,” an institution that has been known to help up-and-coming female country artists like Kelsea Ballerini, Ashley McBride, and Gabby Barrett, among many others.
Chapel Hart’s music has reached fans around the globe earning them the title “International Group of the Year” as well as “International Song of the Year” in Scotland for the single You Can Have Him Jolene. They were also nominated in multiple categories by the British CMAs, including “Group of the Year” and “Album of the Year” for their release The Girls Are Back In Town.
