Champaign, IL – The Champaign Park District has announced that comedian HASAN MINHAJ has added a second show at 4:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 24, 2024, at the Virginia Theatre, Champaign. Limited tickets are still available for the previously announced 7:30 P.M. show on the same date. All reserved seating tickets are $49.50 to $99.50 plus an additional per-ticket processing fee of $5.00 to $10.00. Tickets for the matinee performance go on sale Friday, March 1, 2024, at 12:00 P.M. at the Virginia Theatre Box Office, online at thevirginia.org, or charge by phone at 217-356-9063. HASAN MINHAJ is set to entertain audiences once again with his brand-new show, “Hasan Minhaj: Off With His Head.” As one of the most vital voices in comedy today, Minhaj continues to take on challenging themes like politics, parenting, and therapy with irreverent wit and insight. Mr. Minhaj last appeared at the Virginia Theatre, Champaign, in March of 2022, selling out the facility at two consecutive shows.
Hasan Minhaj is a two-time Peabody Award-Winning comedian best known for his breakout Netflix special, HOMECOMING KING, and his critically-acclaimed political satire show, PATRIOT ACT WITH HASAN MINHAJ (on Netflix)—which won a Peabody, an Emmy, and a Television Academy Honor. Hasan’s second one-hour comedy special, THE KING’S JESTER, premiered on Netflix in 2022. He was a senior correspondent at Comedy Central’s THE DAILY SHOW WITH JON STEWART and headlined the 2017 WHITE HOUSE CORRESPONDENTS’ DINNER.
Mr. Minhaj is also the co-founder and chief executive officer for 186K Films, which is set to produce its first feature, “For The Culture,” with Amazon Studios. Hasan is co-writing the script with Prashanth Venkataramanujam and will star in the film.

HASAN MINHAJ: OFF WITH HIS HEAD will be a phone-free experience. Use of phones, smart watches, and accessories will not be permitted in the performance space.
Upon arrival at the venue, all phones, smart watches, and accessories will be secured in individual Yondr pouches that will be opened at the end of the event. Patrons maintain possession of their devices at all times and can access them throughout the event only in designated Phone Use Areas within the venue.
All devices will be re-secured in Yondr pouches before returning to the performance space. Anyone seen using a device (phone, smart watch, or accessories) during the performance will be escorted from the venue.
