VIRGINIA THEATRE TO SCREEN CULT CLASSIC TWILIGHT (2008) AND HOST IMPACTLIFE BLOOD DRIVE

Champaign, IL – Champaign Park District has announced two special screenings of the cult classic vampire drama based on its namesake novel, Twilight (2008), on Saturday, September 27, at 2pm and 7pm, at the historic Virginia Theatre in downtown Champaign. The film will be accompanied by a mobile blood drive, run by ImpactLife, between screenings from 3-6pm. Those who donate blood will receive free admission into the film, as well as the choice of a $20 electronic gift card, a donation to charity, or ImpactLife bonus points.

General Admission tickets for Twilight (2008) are $7 and can be purchased at the Virginia Theatre Box Office, online at thevirginia.org, or charge by phone at 217-356-9063. Patrons can also reserve a spot to give blood by visiting https://login.bloodcenter.org/donor/schedules/drive_schedule/144679.  

This film screening is sponsored by Mix 94.5 and Rewind 92.5.

Bella Swan, always a bit of a misfit, meets Edward Cullen, a handsome but mysterious teen whose eyes seem to peer directly into her soul. Edward is a vampire whose family does not drink blood, and Bella, far from being frightened, enters into a dangerous romance with her immortal soulmate.

2025 marks the 20th anniversary of the publication of Stephanie Meyer’s debut novel Twilight, which inspired the 2008 film.
